Ocean, Lupe and Peggy use Ocean’s new laptop to search for job opportunities and resources available to them online. Ocean expresses her frustrations and hopelessness to Mr. Bailey. Peggy, desperate and afraid of her future, admits to Lupe that she has stolen food.

Halloween Ghosts
All the families celebrate Halloween but little Sammy’s actions unearth an unexpected ghost for Ocean. Lupe continues to struggle with her choices while Peggy finally enjoys some good news.

Aftermath
Ocean still grapples with her ability to keep her family safe, particularly Trina who insists on challenging Ocean’s every house rule. This time she may have gone too far. Lupe confronts a health issue while Peggy happily settles into her new job.

Solstice
Lupe treats Ocean to a much-needed respite, during which we learn more about Lupe’s childhood and why she empathizes so much with Trina. Peggy has an encounter that tests how vulnerable she really feels, particularly after another one of Lupe’s impulsive actions. Ocean, despite her fear, takes a giant step toward a long-term goal.

Thanksgiving End
Ocean coordinates Thanksgiving for the entire building. The celebration unfolds with much anticipation and surprises, not all of which are welcome. As the women count their blessings, they also tally the true meaning of family, friendship and the importance of forgiving both.
