Man, I love this show! How much longer until Ocean realizes that Trina is pregant? I am itching with anticipation!!!!
You think Trina’s pregnant? Did I miss some clues? I mean she is/was using birth control right? I know that sometimes fail, but what’s up?
Yeah, I’m thinking Trina is pregnant, too! Like the one episode where Ocean comments to Trina that she’s been snacking a lot more and putting on weight? I definitely took that as foreshadow that Trina is probably pregnant. Although, I seriously hope not because I think that is the LAST thing Ocean needs to deal with; her plate is full enough! But, we’ll see!
I can’t believe Ocean hasn’t figured that out yet–when she said herself glad to see ou not wearing those tight clothes anymore and she’s eating chips 8 o clock in the morning
I absolutely LOVE this show!! Wow, every week it amazes me. I am a 28 year old two time breast cancer overcomer, so the last few episodes have truly hit home for me. Thank you for telling our story, our fears, and the honesty of the process…I’m so encouraged!!!
This show is the best! I was glad to finally see Ocean interact with her daughter. I haven’t been happy in the past that you never see her with her own daughter. Thanks DOASM writers for including Ocean’s baby girl in today’s episode! She is so precious!

Mr. Townsend I know that many have been asking why BET or OWN has not picked up your show, but if that happens there are many of us who will not be able to see it. There are many who cannot afford cable and have basic tv programs. There are many who cannot afford watching your program without going to the library and watching it on a borrowed computer and while there picking up books and movies to watch at home with the kids on the weekend because that is all we can afford to do. When I watch your program I feel that Ocean and the ‘Diary’ characters are my friends and that we are not alone in our struggle to raise our children to be smart, independent and to hold on to their faith. I especially enjoy knowing that on the right hand side of the computer monitor there are helpful sites that will aide me in completing my goal, that of an informed woman who say its ok to ask for help when I need it. I know that if this show goes to a large network, the network will not provide these helpful sites but will clamor to see how much money they can make in advertising, and possibly only target this show towards african americans. I would like to add that I was happy to see mike and ocean become friends again and if he is truly sincere then he can wait until she is serious about having a relationship if that is what they want. There is nothing wrong with having a male friend who can truly be there for you without involving sex. Ocean is clearly showing that she respects herself when she wants a friendship before love. Wow, I didn’t know Trina was pregnant. So that’s why she’s wearing baggy clothes now. Can’t wait till next Thursday to see what happen next!
This episode was right on time! I need to be encouraged on waiting “In the Meantime” for things to change. Ocean’s character is so representative of my life. These webisode’s is a God sent to me and so many. Thanks so much for creating and distributing these nuggets of wisdom!

She said she was waiting on her next period to start taking her birth control pills. Also Ocean mentioned she was gaining weight along with her constant snacking.
Bravo! as always. I just wish Ocean will stand up to Uncle Bo and Trina about the way that they talk to her. Ugh! Anyways, I noticed that this is episode 8, I hope you all didn’t try to sneak in the Season Finale on us and didn’t tell us. hmmm??I am wondering now. Ha ha

Well I’m glad Mike apologized although I understand his frustation. He’s been nothing but a gentleman since season 1, but on the other hand Ocean has gone through a lot of turmoil. Her biggest mistake was going back to Senior. Anyway I’m glad she hugged him maybe they’ll blossom into a relationship after all. The best thing is that they began as friends which is always an asset!
Why? yall think Trina pregnant? what clues did i miss besides Ocean saying “At least you not wearing those tight clothes anymore”
Peggy, as with alot of women, see the clues they internally know, are aware that there is a great possbility that men whom are reclusive are most times married, but the women are willing to settle or walk around with their eyes wide shut!
l love this show! It is full of life lessons and wisdom. I love how Ocean’s character desires and strives for more. How she tries to help Trina and when she was tired of Trina, how Uncle Bo had to remind her of that she too needed help. (There but for the grace of God goes I) This show to me is an example of the word of God, truly encouraging. I have shared this site with all of my family and friends. One of my friends thought it was to negative because of Trina letting Senior back into her life and Lupe chasing after a man. How ever I explained that it’s not negative just reality. We all at times make bad decisions with good intentions, at times have our priorities wrong and thank God for second chances. Watch the show without judging but with a different perspective, seeing how they support each other, how they love each other. Even Uncle Bo taught Ocean and us not to forget that we all need help in some form. Love is patient, love is kind and Ocean always finds a way to speak the truth in Love, to create healing. Wow! I love this show, may God continue to Bless everyone involved in this show down to the cleaning crew.
P.S. Thanks for the vocabulary lessons it would be nice to add that to the right hand side of the site, just a thought.

I watched episode 8 and I thought it was well produced. It made me forget it was people acting. I know people who have experienced what the actors portrayed today.
Ocean’s testimony to Lupe is POWERFUL….and yes I believe that GOD is looking in the meantime.

I think she’s pregnant because of her strong reactions toward Ocean’s hatred of Senior. No women/girl/female gets that worked up about a man who isn’t her daddy or brother, unless they have more of a relationship than she is willing to admit to right now.

I am a single mother of a now adult female child. There were many stuggles and sacrafices made while raising her just like what Ocean, Lupe & Avon is going through. If I had to do it all over again I would not change a thing. One thing I did do was put my life on hold somewhat to raise her and when I look back it really wasn’t that long at all. I was blessed with a mother out of state who kept her all summer every summer so when my girls ask me about going out when my child was with me it was a no brainer, I stayed home and was a mom because I knew I would have my summer. As a 30 yr old adult woman who I was blessed to sacrifice myself for so she could go to college and even get her Masters and now lives in Hawaii doing what she loves. There is not a man or woman on this earth that can tell me what a Single Mother is not capable of if we put our mind to it. ‘We need to Live, Love and Learn from ‘Diary of a Single Mother’. I was a Ocean but now I am a SEA! Peace
I think Trina is pregnant also, but I think that Peggy’s new boyfriend has something to do with the landlord situation, I don’t have anything concrete but it is just a feeling. Can’t wait until next week:)

I love this show! It is realastic. We all know or are like some people in this series. I think Trina is pregnant too. Ocean is very naive to me…I cant wait to keep seeing her character grow.
Trina may not be pregnant, but I Senior certainly had an inappropriate relationship with her. I pray, that she is not burdened with the difficulty of a pregnancy now.
Peggy’s man may or may not be married, but he certainly is pulling something over on her. I wonder if he is using her for the business plan and baked cooks she is sharing with him. The lesson is about self-sufficiency. Why does Peggy need this man. Wasn’t Ocean’s boss helping her before? Peggy is falling into her victim, helpless role expecting, needing, wanting a man to rescue her. Last week Lupe learned her lesson about self-sufficiency and self-love when she finally called her baby father on all his crap. And Ocean is walking in this lesson and now is more cautious with her heart. Tough lesson to learn. And it is even more tough when we try to be all things to all people.
Can’t wait for the next episode. I love the premise of this show and would love to see it grow in its ability to evolve and take the viewers along.
In GA snowed in and I have just finished all 3 seasons of the show today. I am very proud, that his tells a story that is faith strong, tells a great story, and is uplifting without the insult of ones intelligence. You have a new regular viewer. Thank you Mr. Townsend for a flat out good show. I am now looking forward to more.

I like many others have fallen in love with this show. What I like most is the authenticity of the characters. In Oceans you can almost feel her deep desire to want more for herself and her family but her reality is struggle. Mr. Townsend I commend you for shinig a light on topics that we ignore or tend to forget.
I just can’t get enough of this!! I’m addicted and it’s legal!! I love that it encourages us to have faith especially “In the meantime”. I’ve said it before and I still think that all the guys should “wanna be like Mike”. I hope Peggy wakes up and smells the coffee real soon ’cause I smell a BIG NASTY RAT!!

Yes, I think Monica is pregnant as well. Not because of a wobble, she’s always walked that way, but if you pay attention in the scenes her “maternity” top lays up against her stomach and it seem to be round and protruding a little.
