Lupe treats Ocean to a much-needed respite, during which we learn more about Lupe’s childhood and why she empathizes so much with Trina.  Peggy has an encounter that tests how vulnerable she really feels, particularly after another one of Lupe’s impulsive actions.  Ocean, despite her fear, takes a giant step toward a long-term goal.

This is episode 7, which means there’s only one left after this… And it’s a great one. Enjoy Solstice, and stay tuned for the big finale on the 31st.

This has been the best series. Although short, I am left with a message after each episode. I hate to see it coming to an end.

I would like to acknowledge Ocean and Valery for their portrayals of people of the lower persuasion and how their accomplishing goals that are very hard in the world today. But with the help of people, because people make the world go round, it will all be much better for all of God’s children.

I really like this episode. I believe that it is truly encouraging, especially the comment that Ocean made from her father’s perspective, “Bloom where you are planted and never let anyone make you so afraid that you can’t be rooted anywhere.” That is powerful! People move for many reasons and most of the time it is because they think they don’t belong.

I am just finding out about this show and I’ve started from the beginning. I was really moved by the quote “Bloom where you are planted….” This really spoke to me because I recently had to move out of my home due to foreclosure and into my rental property in a not-so-good neighborhood. I was not excited about the neighborhood, but I was grateful to God that I had somewhere else (of my own) to go. I know a lot of people don’t have that option. I set it in my mind and heart that I will make this place a home. Not 2 months after I moved, my home was hit by a stray bullet. Glory to God, I was unharmed. The recent event has got me wanting to move again but I can’t afford it and I don’t want to make anymore unwise financial decisions. When I heard this quote, I felt that it was reassurance that I should stand/stay where I am and not let the enemy or his devices, move me. Thanks.
