Is this show based on a true story and the names have been changed to protect the innocent? If it is the story of real person, I would love to meet her. I know a lot of people ARE Ocean, Lupe and Trina, but I am curious if this is based on a real life person.
No matter how strong a woman is, at the end of the day, a woman is still a woman.
This story speaks to my soul. I find myself putting things about me on the back burner. I think I am scared of success. I have great support and I cannot complain. I am just lonely and doing it all alone can be taxing sometimes. Contrary to popular belief black women are strong not because they want to but because they have to.

This was one of my favorite episodes. I love the part where Ocean yells at Mr. Bailey. Sometimes we spend so much time holding everything in trying to be strong. What we need is to realize no one can be strong all the time. We all need a soft place to land sometimes.

I have really gotten the glimpse of the hidden truth that sometimes us single mother’s and people in a gerneral . goes thru, but doesnt allow it to hinder the spirit and goals that are to be reached the determination is very present in any given situation . in which may come off as being hard -cold hearted when in reality it survival in this world . Anticipating upcoming episodes.

Man, I guess I do hold offenses to long, he wouldnt of got any, but did anyone notice how ehn she came home from work her hair was not done but for the party it was extra fly, I could she if she maybe washed up per say, but she had on same shirt! dont start slipping production
I think Ocean needs to address her husband’s potential pedophilla behavior before he rape her niece. I would like to see Ocean take more control of her life. Sometimes she is just tooo passive.
Good episode. It is getting scary though. Once a wife beater, always a wife beater . . . especially w/out anger management classes. I also don’t like the way Sr. treats Uncle Bo.
Was it just me or did Trina look hella mad when Senior kissed Ocean?
This show is wonderful! I am mad about senior being back…I hope he doesn’t break her heart! I pray he is not messing with that child! Good show…glad I found it!
Wow ! This has got to be the best kept secret. Mr. Townsend if you don’t want Hollywood messing with your work well Hell.. call Tyler Perry he has his own studio in Lovely Atlanta. Believe in your own Powers and Bloom where you are planted… I think those are your words.
It is never to late to get on a good train and this ride has truly been a moving one. The characters are so touching and I’m back in love with Billy D like I was with Lady Sings the Blues. I kinda like that this is a hidden secret, its like I am sitting alone center stage and the performance is all for me.
