Ocean, Lupe and Peggy use Ocean’s new laptop to search for job opportunities and resources available to them online. Ocean expresses her frustrations and hopelessness to Mr. Bailey. Peggy, desperate and afraid of her future, admits to Lupe that she has stolen food; Lupe reassures her that she will find employment soon. Lupe wistfully reflects on the parallels between her young life and Ocean’s niece’s current struggles.
Episode four is live, and it’s a great one! This is one of my favorite episodes in the series. I hope you enjoy it. Let us know what you think.
What I Love About This Show Is That You Can Relate Even If You’re Not A Single Mother! It’s Real!
Great show, can’t wait till next episode.
Like China Anderson’s character Sophie, children often create imaginary friends to cope with the insecurity that springs forth from uncertainty. But sometimes, however, it’s an expression of their creativity in spite of adversity. Having followed China Anderson’s career and having witnessed her acting ability, I hope that the writers and directors do the opposite of what’s predictable. We already expect that some school teacher or school principal will eventually underestimate Sophie due to her circumstances. It would be quite the twist (and quite exciting) to see China Anderson’s character Sophie use the imaginary friend as a means to develop her ability to sing or play piano instead of the it being a means to survive the drama and trauma of a single parent household. China, great job! Can’t wait to see YOU in episode 5!
Such an awesome show.. This needs to be on TV!!!! we need this on a bigger platform
Any One Else Notice How, Lupe Is Talking About Her Day, Or Ms.Peggy Is Complaining About Hers….Ocean Listen’s To Both, But No One Ever Ask How Ocean Is.

Very good show!!!! I can’t wait to finish it.
I really enjoyed this “diary”. Wonderful cast and great acting! Keep it going. I will do my part and pass it on.
Wonderful!! I think more promotions should be made to let others know of this show.
Robert Townsend is a genius when it comes to innovation on the screen. I have long been a devotee of his cinematic experience.
This is so wonderful. I hate to get to the end. I hope I have helped to turn somebody on to this. They don’t know what they are missing.
Just when you thought your situation was as down as you get at least my unemployment is keeping a roof over my head and thank God I do not have to still food
I would like to say it was great. I gave it a 5 star rating. I enjoyed seeing the portrayal of Richard Roundtree and Billy Dee Williams, and Ocean girl.
each webisode is so right on time
This is a powerful and very relateable series. Heard about it on the Monique show. Now that I’m caught up to episode 10 can’t wait for new episodes to broadcast.
Love it, love it, love it….being a filmmaker myself I can appreciate the production and the time it takes to to create something of this magnitude. The writing is outstanding. Keep up the good work guys and I will spread the word.
I’m hooked after 4 episodes. Ocean and I have very similar stories. Gotta go ketup with the mustard.
Some of this was good, and some of it read like a Hallmark movie . . . too perfect.
Yes this really needs to be on television. It has such a deep meaning of what a single mother is and how she handle daily struggles.
I’m just finding out about this series & I am extremely impressed. I’m enjoying DOASM very much. The problem is that season 1: episodes 4-8 are not playing on my computer. I’ve watched episodes 1-3 & the other episodes from the other seasons appear to work fine (just clicked on them but haven’t watched). I don’t know what is wrong but I want to finish season 1. Help!!! Fix this please. Thanx.
I cannot watch the episode!
