Ocean prepares her kids for school while she battles to maintain authority over her troublesome niece. Peggy’s struggle to raise her grandson Ian is highlighted when Lupe discovers Ian is not at school with the rest of the children. very enjoyable i will continue to watch more and more!
Just got wind of this. Two episodes in and I’m hooked.
Both episodes had my undivided attention. As a single mother myself, the show is really showcasing the struggles we go through on a daily basis. Monica Calhoun was made for this part & Jonathan Biggs is doing a fabulous job! I look forward to continuing to watch with the hopes of watching on TV soon!
Wow The episodes just get better and better as they come. This show really portrays the realities of life. The entire cast is great and China Anderson is a natural. Keep up the good work, looking forward to the next one!
Ending monologue Was Amazing Soo True. And The Hymning The Pants So Realistic! I’m In Love!
This was so powerful….. i see the change in people… im just waitting for more…Thanks….. Good job

amazing. The music just adds to the perfection
I especially loved the scene where Ocean received the laptop . . . very moving. I’m looking forward to the next episode!
skye you’re amazing…ur voice is so gifted! and your dad is one of the best directors ever….i miss parenthood! but truthfully, only 2 episodes & i’m already hooked!
This is our reality… Always do the best you can. Do not accept mediocre from your kids EVER. Thanks for this series.
Sooo awesome to see how Ocean uses the gift of a laptop and GED study programs to help solve her problems and bridge the gap between barely getting by and self sufficiency! Inspiring!
Another great episode, I like the realistic life experiences. Keep up the good work!!!
Another great peice of work it only seems to get better as I watch each episode
I enjoy watching Ocean take care of a situation and how well she holds herself.
that was the weakest slap in history. couldn’t help but laugh. the teenager actor is a good actress. i am loving this series.
very good…….
good
This is such an empowering series, it’s a great tool to show all the single moms that they overcome and achieve anything.
very good
Although tv can be entertainment, there can be something positive to get out of a “good” show. I like the Bailey creedo, “every problem has a solution”! Our children need more positivity in their lives to grown up to be productive, responsible adults. All of this reality garbage is only reinforcing more ignorance.
So far I’m really enjoying this show. I wasn’t a big fan Robert Townsend due to some of his bad directing and movies. But I see he has really improve. Especially with his directing 10,000 Men Named George movie. He has really outdone himself with this show. Congratulations Mr. Townsend. God Bless and many more blessings.
The more I watch – the more I love it !!!
it just keeps getting better
Robert you are doing so well. I appreciate your effort where you keep on pushing forward. It is very encouraging and I am available if you ever need a project manager:-)
Incredible stories of struggles and hopes. Showing single motherhood from different frames of reference is what makes this piece of work so amazing.
It’s refreshing and alive. This form of story telling inspires at the core of a person when they see the struggle and a mom’s efforts to rise above the situation and how the strength of one can become the key to hope for others. The compassion one for another that can come from the strength of one shared with others through interpersonal contact and support. great show when’s the second season.
I really enjoyed all episodes and can’t wait for more. Please post the date when to expect to see Season Two. I’ve been telling as many people as possible and I encourage them to watch. I love the characters andthe actors are fantastic.
Another exceptional episode. I will be watching more as time allows.
All I can say is “thank you Mr. Townsend. These episodes are long overdue. They need to be shown at community centers, high schools, wherever single moms congregate. Can’t wait for Season 2. I e-mailed everyone I knew with a computer to watch these episodes.
I think that it should be produced on PBS and free tv. all single mom’s need to see their story. Thank you Mr. Townsend for quality work.

I had never heard of this show until I saw Mr. Towsend on the Monique show tonight, I just want to say this this show was outstanding I love the array of characters you have on the show I was honored to watch a African American man portrayed as a strong man with family values and I need some royalties because your main character Ocean. As I watched her I saw nothing but myself on screen Koodos to you and everyone who put this show together. I watched the whole first season in one sittiting looking forward to next season 2/11/10.
This is actually a very good show.It show alot of pain that women and families go through dealing with everyday issues like schooling for children, parenting issues, substance abuse, and most important accountablility. Good job.
I too like your other viewer had never heard of these webisodes until I watched Monique. I am glad though to know about, it is a fantastic show
I love it! Watch Robert Townsend on Mo’Nique and check out the webisode the next day. Mr. Townsend encourage me to pack my things, two children, and dog and my car and move to L.A. from Chicago to pursue my life long goals, at his seminar at Columbia College. He said it’s time to give birth! Thank you Mr. Townsend, and I agree with what you said about the comedians today, I worked for Pookey at CS.
Good for you!! Wishing you much success out in LA! This series has inspired me to work harder on my online web series now that I have moved from Ohio to Chi Town. Im starting all over because I dont have access to film equipment like I did before, but I know God will make a way.
This is a Godsend! The Atlanta Voice wrote an article describing PIC.tv and this show. I love it! Keep on showing encouraging shows as well as information to assist people in climbing higher to achieve their goals. I will spread the word about this site. Thank you!
I am enjoying the program. The events and themes are right on course with the trials and tribulations of motherhood…be it single, as a couple or with a “village”. Good job Mr. Townsend, staff and cast. I heard about the show on the interview that Mr. Townsend did on the Brian McKnight Show. I have only watched two episodes thus far, but I am already hooked. Once again, good job.
I am loving this.
LOVE IT SOOOO REAL!
Outstanding.
Wow! This is so realistic. There are so many single women out here raising children . . . those of their own and other people’s children. This really hits home.
I have enjoyed the first two episodes, just heard about about the web show by Robert Townsend on Ton Joyner show Friday. Very impressed hope to see the episodes extend in viewing time and to be picked up by tv.
