COBRA health insurance subsidies have helped many unemployed workers keep their families covered. But as extended subsidies run out and COBRA becomes less affordable, more folks may be left without care. Before you go without, make sure you know all of your options.
While several parts of the healthcare bill are already helping to make plans more affordable, other changes won’t take effect until 2014.
For now, there are a few things you can do to stay covered at an affordable price:

- Get health care assistance (Medicare, Medicaid, CHIP, and more)
- How to handle healthcare costs
- Get affordable prescriptions
- Find a low-cost health care clinic
